FOSSIL CREEK STONE

About us

Fossil Creek Stone is a quartzitic sandstone formed over 300 million years ago in the deserts of Eastern New Mexico. Formed by water deposits with a higher compressive strength (16,400 psi) and a low absorption rate (2%), Fossil Creek Stone can be utilized in any climate and last for generations.

Fossil Creek Stone is a color consistent material, with its neutral beige to earth tone coloring, it works well in contemporary, modern, and traditional settings. Fossil Creek Stone has many uses, from cut dimensional stone used in patios, walkways and stair treads to architectural stone used in buildings. It is also used for wallstone, decorative boulders, natural steps and other landscape features.

With its wavy surface it is great for outdoor pool decks, providing for solid traction when the stone gets wet. Beautiful natural cleft texture give flagstone a wonderfully appealing charm, combined with the strength and durability of natural stone. It is ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications, in commercial settings or in any residence.

In addition to our Fossil Creek Stone quarry we have two production facilities, located in New Mexico and Arizona for your convenience. We will meet your needs in pavers, thin veneer, cobble stone, pool coping, wall caps, step treads, column caps, fireplace hearths and mantels, as well as custom jobs.
